REAL ESTATE DEVELOPER OFFERS KNICKS POINT GUARD JEREMY LIN A FREE ONE BEDROOM APT. IN NEW YORK CITY!

A Real Estate Developer Offers Jeremy Lin a Free One-Bedroom Apartment in New York City
If you live in New York City—or you've seen an episode of HGTV's Selling New York—then you already know that real estate in the Big Apple ain't cheap. A moldy, rat-infested studio apartment with enough room for a duffle bag, two shoe boxes, and a twin bed will cost you more than a mansion in just about any other part of the country. So Jeremy Lin might want to give Edward Mermelstein a call ASAP. Looking to cash in on the sudden popularity of the Knicks point guard who still sleeps on his brother's couch, the real estate developer just offered Lin a free one-bedroom apartment in the city.
"As a New Yorker, it's very rare that someone like Jeremy Lin comes along to electrify this city," says Mermelstein. "And this humble young man has excited all of NYC—and we love his energy. He's a hard working, passionate young man—and, as a NY Knick and Harvard graduate, I am sure it's not long until he'll have his own place to stay. But, in the meantime, I'd be honored to offer him an apartment for his use."
Hold up: A free apartment in New York City? Regardless of the fact that this is obviously a publicity stunt by Mermelstein, we have to believe Lin's trying to track dude down right now. Because, like we said, real estate in NYC ain't cheap. Hey, Jeremy: Kiss the couch goodbye!
