Jacquie apparently wasn’t too happy when she found out her husband had been suspended from CNN. Jacquie tweeted “@cnn @glaad uses our history to gain their equality & then stabs the point man in the back. Don’t ask us for nothing else!”
We toldya Martin made national headlines this week for tweeting anti-gay and violent comments concerning a Super Bowl H&M ad featuring soccer star David Beckham. After issuing an apology to the LGBT community and to Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), the network suspended Martin but he still plans to meet with the organization in the “near future.”
So far GLAAD has not responded to Jacquie’s tweets. When GLAAD issued a statement against Martin for his homophobic tweet, the organization also mentioned that Jacquie has “counseled many men and women to walk away from the gay lifestyle.”
Some folks are now pushing for CNN to give radio personality and tv commentator Michael Baisden, seen below, a shot! Would he be a good replacement for Martin. If you want to show support, tweet @cnnbrk & @baisdenlive, let them know what’s up!
What do you think? Is she out of line or on point?
