JAY-Z UNVEIL TO THE NEW 40/40 CLUB ON WEDNESDAY

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are without a doubt the royal celebrity heads of New York, and their little baby girl can easily be crowned a princess. Their popularity and success extends above their singing career and Jay-Z is proof enough. The rapper has undertaken a major project and on Wednesday he will be unveiling the new 40/40 club.

Now that baby Blue Ivy Carter is here, Jay-Z’s part as daddy is the more important. The rapper went back to business after welcoming his baby girl. First step was to announce he has closed a multi-year international deal with Duracell Powermat to become spokesman for the joint venture.

“I believe in the future of wireless energy and I believe that Duracell Powermat is the company to bring on the revolution. I’m partnering with Duracell Powermat because they’re providing the solutions for the future” said Jay-Z.

But, if Jay-Z’s announcement to become spokesman for Duracell Powermat hasn’t made the headlines, his grand opening of the 40/40 club in New York is surely important news. Jay-Z undertook a big project and invested about $10 million to revamp the New York nightclub / sports bar.

Hiphopwired.com wrote that on Wednesday, the 40/40 will hold an exclusive, invite only event, a sort of premiere of the venue. However, you will be able to take a look at what Jay-Z has changed in just a short while.

According to data so far, you should expect to see a “luxury sports club” with more than a million dollars in audio and video installations. NYpost.com writes that the 40/40 club features “custom – illuminated amber resin bar tops, illuminated bottle – display towers, leather wall upholstery, plush lounge banquettes and giant television screens” and “a second – floor catwalk”.

Add to that the following “custom chandelier, oak paneling with silver leaf molding, oak floors, custom billiard tables and bespoke lounge seating”. Also, Jay-Z has added a fifth VIP room which is the artist’s private room. It features 950 square feet where, according to a spokeswoman “you can be in your own club, with 100 guests”.

So, it looks like the rich and famous of New York will soon be able to enjoy another favorite spot.
